Hey everyone!

We are so excited to have you and your kiddos signed up for Kicks + Cuts! Here are a few things for you to know:

You can pick up your shoes anytime from 10AM-4PM on Saturday - August 2nd at the Dothan Civic Center.

There will be no trading or swapping of shoes. The size that you signed up for is the size you will receive. We special ordered each pair of shoes for your kiddo.

There will be no secondary pickup day. If you do not come pick up your shoes on Saturday August 2nd, you will not receive your shoes. No exceptions.

The doors to the event will not open before 10:00AM.

Your child MUST be present to receive their shoes.

You do not need to sign-up for a haircut slot until you arrive at the Dothan Civic Center in person. Someone will be there to sign you up.

We have barbers and stylists trained in all types of hair. We have a limited number of braiders who will be doing a basic braid for children who do not want their hair cut.

When you arrive be aware there are certain rules the civic center has for what you can bring in. Only certain clear bags will be allowed in as well as a few more policies. You can read a full list of their policies here

Dothan Civic Center Venue Policies

Bag Policy


For security purposes, only clear bags and small clutch purses are allowed inside the venue. Clear bags help expedite the security screening process and allow staff to quickly identify any prohibited items. Clear bags must not exceed 12” x 12” x 6”, and diaper bags must also be clear and within the same size limits. Clutch purses no larger than 6.5” x 4.5” are permitted but will be measured at the door. If a clutch purse exceeds the size limit, it will not be allowed. Clutch purses placed inside a clear bag are still subject to measurement.   
 
We understand that some guests may need to bring essential medical supplies or items for young children. To accommodate these needs while maintaining security and safety standards, we have established the following policy regarding medical and other pre approved bags:
 
Guests requiring medical supplies or equipment are permitted to bring necessary items into the venue. Medical bags must be clearly labeled as such and may be subject to inspection by venue staff. Examples of permitted medical items include prescription medications, insulin pumps, EpiPens, and other necessary medical devices.
 
Parents or guardians with infants or young children are allowed to bring a diaper bag into the venue. Diaper bags must be clear and should be clearly identifiable as such and may be subject to inspection by venue staff. Diaper-changing stations are available in designated restrooms for the convenience of our guests.
 
Medical and pre approved bags must adhere to size restrictions to ensure they do not pose a hindrance to other guests or impede the flow of foot traffic within the venue. We recommend that medical bags be kept to a reasonable size, no larger than 12”x12”x6”.

Guests with medical bags or any pre-approved bags, such as those for photography, videography, competitors, and performers, may be asked to open their bags for inspection by venue staff upon entry. This inspection ensures that all items comply with venue policies and do not pose any security risks.

If you require any additional assistance or accommodations related to medical or pre approved bag , please inform our guest services staff upon arrival. We are committed to ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at our venue.

While we understand the importance of medical bags, certain items are not permitted inside the venue for security reasons. Guests should ensure that their bags do not contain any prohibited items, such as weapons, outside food and beverages, or illegal substances.

Weapons Policy

Firearms, knives, pepper spray, tasers, chain wallets, or any other type of weapon are strictly prohibited on the premises. Guests found in possession of weapons will be denied entry or ejected from the venue without refund and may be subject to legal action.



Cashless Policy

The Dothan Civic Center is cashless facility. We carry no amount of cash at any time. Visa, Mastercard, & American Express credit, debit, and gift cards are accepted at our box office and concession areas.  We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, & Samsung Pay.

Re-Entry Policy

Once guests have entered the venue, re-entry is not permitted. This policy helps maintain security and ensures the safety of all guests throughout the duration of the event. Please plan accordingly and remember to bring all necessary items with you upon entry.


Alcohol Policy

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase and consume alcohol. Proper identification will be required for any guest who appears younger than 35 years of age. Excessive consumption of alcohol is not permitted, and intoxicated guests may be denied entry or removed from the venue.  Guests are limited to the purchase of 2 alcoholic beverages per bar/concessions visit.   The Dothan Civic Center reserves the right to deny entry to anyone at any time.


Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, is prohibited inside the venue. A designated smoking area does not exist.  Please refer to the No Re-Entry policy. 


Behavior Policy

All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards others. Any behavior deemed disruptive, offensive, or violent will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from the venue.


Dress Code Policy

Guests are required to wear appropriate attire while inside the venue. Shoes and shirts must be always worn, and clothing with offensive language or imagery is not permitted.


Prohibited Items Policy

In addition to weapons, the following items are also prohibited inside the venue: illegal drugs, outside food and beverages, laser pointers, air horns, helium balloons, glitter, confetti, selfie sticks, professional cameras, professional audio recording devices, and any other item deemed to be a security or safety risk by venue staff.
 
Dance recital cast, beauty pageant contestants, & sporting competition contestants are allowed to bring one beverage container.  Unopened beverages are not permitted.  


Bag Checks and Security Screening Policy

All guests are subject to bag checks and security screening upon entry to the venue. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time for this process.

Age Restrictions Policy

Guests 15 years of age or younger are required to be accompanied by an adult 19 years of age or older.
